New At The Creek

We are so excited to share our new carrier relationships with National General, CSE, and Palomar Private Flood.  Stone Creek Insurance Agency takes pride in taking care of our clients’ needs by matching our customers with the company best suited or them. SCIA cares deeply about our clients and we routinely assess the carriers we work with to ensure they deliver quality and care.

Uninsured Motorist

In 2012, 12.6 of motorists, or about 1 out of 8 drivers was uninsured, according to a study completed by the insurance Research Council (IRC).  The study was based on the ratio was based from claims statistics.  Although the number appears to be declining, when the economy goes on a downturn, the number of uninsured motorist also increases.

  • If your family has not reviewed your liability coverage in the last few years, now is a good time to revisit your auto policy to verify that you have enough coverage in case something happens.  This can avoid extra costs in an event of an accident.  Often, you can increase coverage without a significant increase in premium.  We are more than happy to help you here at Stone Creek Insurance Agency.

School Sports Saftey

Your household may be one of the millions, which student athletes are dreaming of their victory on their school playing fields.  Here at Stone Creek Insurance, we want to see them succeed.  But a successful household is one where everyone remains safe.  Here are some helpful tips for students, parents and schools to keep in mind before they get out on the field:

  • All athletes need a preseason physical and should share medical conditions, such as sickle cell traits or heart conditions with their coaches

  • Parents should give their school staff their contact information and permission for medical care as necessary

  • A healthy diet offers plenty of complex carbohydrates, plus moderate amounts of protein, salt, sugars, and sodium. Keep fat, saturated fat and cholesterol to a minimum

  • Athletic trainers and consulting physicians, not coaches, should decide whether athletes continue playing following an injury

  • Athletes should speak up and seek medical attention if they have symptoms such as dizziness, memory loss, lightheadedness, fatigue or imbalance after a hit in the head or a fall. They should not rejoin a game or practice after a fall on the same day.

  • Maintain equipment and facilities

  • Helmets and pads should be properly fitted, apparatus well-maintained, facilities should be kept clean

  • Warm ups and cool downs are key, stretching is important before and after an activity

  • Take plenty of breaks in between and stay hydrated

  • To avoid heat illnesses, start slowly and build up for more intensive training
